He goes on to point out that all IOT (Internet of things) devices should connect to a single device in your home that responsibly handles the communications and security.

The flood of cheap and inexpensive devices like home cameras, wifi-enabled light bulbs, into homes with very fast outbound network connections have enabled a huge force that can be used that want to engage in digital vandalism to those who want to bring a site under a full attack.
